We’ve got some news of our own to announce today! The official announcement follows…

Music Ally, the global leader in knowledge and skills for the new music industry, and Amazon Music have launched a free five-course video series on Music Ally’s educational Learning Hub called the Amazon Music for Artists Pro Series.

It’s designed to help anyone working in the modern music business – from industry stalwarts at major and indie labels to DIY artists and managers – to effectively build their business with Amazon Music.

Each in-depth course will help participants get the most out of the key features and opportunity areas from Amazon Music, including the in-app tools from Amazon Music for Artists, programming and curation, selling artist merchandise, understanding voice technology and how to reach audiences on Alexa, and livestreaming on Twitch.

The five free courses are each around 30-45 minutes in length, broken down into various sections, and are available in English – with Spanish and Japanese subtitles available:

1. Amazon Music for Artists: Get The Most Out Of Available Tools
2. Amazon Music Programming: Breaking Down The Amazon Music Approach To Curation
3. Expand Your Merch Table: Start Selling Merch On Amazon & Amazon Music
4. Livestreaming on Twitch + Amazon Music: How To Build Fans And Drive Revenue
5. Voice Technology 101: Demystifying Alexa, And Why It Matters

The series, which provides participants certification upon completion, aims to support the artist community and music business professionals with better access to education to foster success on Amazon Music.

Together, the five videos – each packed with skills, tips, case studies, and strategies – covers everything needed to navigate the offerings from Amazon Music.

Marlen Hüllbrock, Music Ally’s Head of Marketing and Audience, believes that the Amazon Music for Artist Pro Series will equip industry professionals with expertise that will let them create exciting new opportunities and strategies.

“The really exciting thing with Amazon Music is there are so many different parts within the business that can be used by artists: they’re all interconnected. There was so much information that we were able to look into, and a lot of it is stuff that many artists teams might not be aware of already,” she said.

“It’s also about bringing it into a music context: there may be existing documentation, for example on the Amazon retail side, but we’ve been able to take that and bring it in a very focused way to artists and their teams.”

By collaborating with Music Ally to create the Amazon Music for Artist Pro Series, Amazon Music chose a respected global brand with a proven track record in training the industry on cutting-edge technologies, modern marketing strategies, and contextual explanations of a rapidly-changing business environment.

“We know how vital it is for artists and their teams to be up-to-date on the best ways of working with companies like Amazon Music,” said Katie (Schlosser) Vitolins, Head of Amazon Music for Artists. “In developing this Pro Series content with Music Ally, I hope we demystify the ins-and-outs of our service and inspire artists to build their business with Amazon Music.”
