In honor of Black Music Month, Pandora, Sirius XM, and Stitcher have launched a series of initiatives geared towards educating listeners on the impact that Black music has had on the landscape of music as a whole. Among the initiatives is a podcast titled All Music Is Black Music, which will explore how "African American music and culture" has shaped contemporary music. Episodes will be released on a bi-weekly basis and will feature interviews with artists such as Kelly Rowland, Ne-Yo, St. Vincent, Regina Spektor, and more. The series will be hosted by Selema Masekela and narrated by Dr. Dwandalyn Reece of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Pandora x Black Music Month Microsite

Music lovers will be able to discover new music by way of the Modes feature, which "allows fans to exert more control over their listening experience on the Black Music Forever station."

Spoken Word Videos

Hosted by Shanelle Gabriel, Pandora's spoken word videos will "take listeners on a historic spoken word journey discovering the influence and impact of Black music."

Pandora Playback with Moneybagg Yo

"On June 24, as part of Pandora's virtual event series, Pandora Playback will feature an in-depth conversation with rapper Moneybagg Yo. He'll discuss his artistry, recent album A Gangsta's Pain and his music legacy, plus a special celebration of HBCUs," a press release explains

There are also a series of Sirius XM channels and programs being rolled out in honor of the occasion.

The 2Pac Channel

Playing on channel 104, The 2Pac Channel "will take listeners on a comprehensive journey through the genius of 2Pac's full music career." Programming will include information about the rapper's life and incorporate "exclusive commentary from his close friends and peers."

The Prince Channel

Airing on channel 333, the Prince station will feature songs from the late music icon's extensive collection as well as live performances.

A Shot of Rhythm and Blues: Exploring The Beatles and Black Music

On June 27, a four-part series titled,  A Shot of Rhythm and Blues:  Exploring The Beatles and Black Music, will premiere on The Beatles Channel. The series, which is hosted by Meshell Ndegeocello, "will explore the relationship between The Beatles and Black music" and "uncover The Beatles' earliest R&B heroes."

Soulful Soundtracks

Every weekend in June, the Heart & Soul Channel will spotlight music from iconic soundtracks such as Waiting To Exhale, Judas And The Black Messiah, and Black Panther.

A Juneteenth Celebration With Kirk Franklin

The Kirk Franklin Praise station will air a Juneteenth event hosted by Kirk Franklin, which will feature music and narration by the award-winning Gospel artist.
