NEW YORK, NY – The Digital Media Association (DIMA) hosted its second Summer Members Meeting this week at Spotify’s New York headquarters, marking a pivotal moment of growth and momentum for the organization. Under the leadership of President & CEO Graham Davies, DIMA has significantly expanded its scope—evolving from a U.S.-focused trade association to now representing its members across the United States, Canada, and Latin America.

The event convened leaders from the world’s top streaming services, industry, and government agencies for a day of strategic discussion on the future of digital music, licensing, innovation, and global policy. It also served as the launchpad for two major milestones: the release of the 2025 DIMA Annual Report and the debut of the association’s newly redesigned website: www.dima.org.

“Streaming is a global engine powering the music industry, and DIMA’s growth reflects that reality,” said Graham Davies, President & CEO of DIMA. “Our members operate across borders, and so must our advocacy. As we expand across the Americas, we’re committed to supporting a sustainable, fair, and innovative ecosystem for creators, rights holders, and fans alike.”

Key Insights from DIMA’s 2025 Annual Report:

  • 94% of streamers say they love or like their music streaming service
  • Nearly 250 million Americans streamed music in 2024
  • Streamers spend 26% more on recorded music than five years ago
  • Streamers dedicate 40% more listening time weekly on streaming services compared to broadcast radio
  • 84% of users say streaming strengthens their connection with artists

The report underscores streaming’s central role in driving music industry growth and offers a roadmap for DIMA’s advocacy agenda across the Americas.
