DiMA Joins Amicus Brief in Gonzalez v. Google Supreme Court Case

“Association Calls for Consideration of Streaming Innovation in Supreme Court Case

Washington, D.C. (January 19, 2023) – Today, DiMA joined CCIA, NetChoice, ITI, IAB, and TechNet in filing an amicus brief in the Gonzalez v. Google case before the Supreme Court. DiMA’s President and CEO Garrett Levin offered comment on DiMA’s position:

“Music streaming services offer access to the world’s music with unrivaled opportunities for personalization and discovery. This model benefits fans, artists, and songwriters alike. We are concerned that a broad ruling in the Gonzalez v. Google case would undermine these advances and damage the ability for services to provide innovative offerings and engaging experiences.”

The text of the amicus brief is available here.
