The Digital Media Association (“DiMA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) has developed this Privacy Policy because your (“you” and “your” referring to any party using our internet site) privacy is important to us.  As we collect certain types of personally identifiable information, we believe that you should know how that information is used.

Our internet site (the “Site” or the “DiMA Site”) is exclusively for the private non-commercial use of individuals who are at least thirteen (13) years of age or older and are residents and citizens of the United States.

Your use of this Site signifies your acceptance of this Privacy Policy.  If you do not accept all the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy you may not use the select areas and features of this Site and certain interactive features of this Site and other activities may be unavailable to you.

WHERE IS THIS INFORMATION PROCESSED?

Information collected through the Site will be processed in and subject to the laws of the United States and may be available to the United States government or its agencies under a lawful order made in the United States. HOW IS YOUR INFORMATION SECURED?

We use commercially reasonable security measures consistent with standard industry practice to assist in protecting against the loss, misuse, or alteration of the personally identifiable information under our control. These security measures include storing all personal information on our secure servers which are both password and firewall protected.

DiMA is not responsible for the security of your Personal Information during the transmission stage. We cannot assume responsibility because your e-mail, Account creation, or other Personal Information could be copied and/or intercepted by unknown third parties during transmission.  You therefore understand, acknowledge, and agree that when transmitting certain personal information to this Site you do so at your own risk.

Information is not kept for longer than necessary to purpose for which it was collected. We generally delete personal data upon your request to do so. Otherwise we will retain documents containing personal information to the extent (1) required by law; (2) relevant to ongoing legal proceedings; or (3) necessary to defend our legal rights.

We do not collect sensitive personal information.  Please do not send us any sensitive personal information like your social security number, health or medial information, political or religious affiliation or beliefs, information related to race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual preference, criminal background information.

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting a new Privacy Policy on this page. If we make any revisions that materially change the ways in which we use or share the information previously collected from you through the Site, we will give you the opportunity to consent to such changes before applying them to that information.

YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

If you reside in California and have provided your personally identifiable information to us, you may request information once per calendar year about our disclosures of certain categories of your personally identifiable information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
