A Message from our CEO
Today marks the close of Hispanic Heritage Month – a month to celebrate and honor Hispanic and Latinx communities and culture in our society, including their countless contributions to music. DiMA focused its time this last month on exploring the meteoric rise of Latin music, diving deep into the streaming trends, fan facts, artists, and talking with Latin music streaming executives leading the way.
We launched a brand new report, Streaming The Latin Music Revolution/Streaming La Revolución de la Música Latina, where we interviewed executives from Spotify, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, and Pandora, and teamed up with MusicWatch to create a first-of-its kind consumer profile of the Latin music fan in the United States. We also brought policymakers into the conversation with a discussion on the growth and impact of Latin music through their eyes, and released a specially curated playlist featuring top Latin songs and recommendations of up-and-coming Latin artists you need to know. DiMA is proud to celebrate Latin music – and show how music streaming and its ability to connect fans with music has helped open it up to the world.
