Each year, the National Recording Registry honors those creators and their works that have helped to shape the nation’s musical legacy. This year’s class of inductees reflects unique and historic recorded music, including “Gasolina” by Daddy Yankee, “All I Want for Christmas is You” by Mariah Carey, “Super Mario Bros. Theme” by Koji Kondo and albums Like A Virgin by Madonna, All Hail the Queen by Queen Latifah, Déjà vu by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, and Very First Mariachi Recordings by Cuarteto Coculense.
